Main Street Barberton Launches “20 Days of Gratitude” to Support Local Neighbors Downtown businesses will collect donations for Barberton Area Community Ministries from November 1–20 BARBERTON, Ohio — September 29, 2026 — This November, Main Street Barberton is turning gratitude into action through its 20 Days of Gratitude community donation drive. From November 1–20, Main Street Barberton will partner with Barberton Area Community Ministries (BACM) and downtown small businesses to collect nonperishable food for local individuals and families.
Collection boxes will be available at participating businesses throughout the downtown. Residents are encouraged to visit businesses with donation boxes while visiting downtown and bring an item to help support a neighbor in need. “As we enter the season of gratitude, we wanted to create a meaningful way for our businesses and community members to give back together,” said Melanie Black, Executive Director of Main Street Barberton. “Our local businesses continually show how much they care about Barberton. By using our connections throughout the downtown district, we can help support another local nonprofit doing important work for our neighbors.”
As a nonprofit dedicated to supporting local businesses and strengthening Barberton’s historic downtown, Main Street Barberton believes its role extends beyond economic development. A thriving downtown is built by people who care about one another, and this partnership offers businesses, residents and visitors a simple way to make a meaningful local impact. For 20 days, Main Street Barberton invites the community to turn gratitude into action: Shop local. Give local. Support local.
