Woodcarving Course – $50
A beginner-friendly to intermediate course to the art of woodcarving. Instructor Tim Crawford will explain techniques for carving, recognizing the direction of wood grain, and proper safety when handling carving knives. Everyone will have 16 hours of working time with the tools and the instructor to carve their pieces. All tools & materials provided.
Friday May 1st, 5PM – 7PM will be an introduction. The course will continue the next day, Saturday, May 2, 9AM – 5PM and Sunday, May 3, 9AM – 5PM.
Class for ages 16 & up. All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.

This course takes place over three consecutive days (one weekend) it cannot be split, and missed classes will not be refunded. Participants must purchase the course and must cancel before the first day of class (May 1) to receive a course refund. (Class registration required by April 30 @ 6pm.)
About the instructor:
Tim Crawford is a nationally recognized woodcarver & the president of the Norton Wood-Be-Carvers club. He’s been carving for most of his life and teaches classes in wood carving around Summit County, including at the Akron Maker’s Space where he is a resident maker.
